Lacquered
Our lacquered finishes are versatile and sprayed with a lacquer to preserve the aesthetic of the finish. To clean, we recommend the occasional use of a soft cloth. Abrasive cleaning products should never be used as they will escalate the speed in which the lacquer breaks down.
PBL - Polished brass lacquered
Hand-polished to achieve a smooth mirrored finish. Highly durable clear gloss lacquer is then applied and baked to ensure the lacquer cures. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
SBL - Satin brass lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A highly durable clear gloss lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
SBSL - Satin brass satin lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A highly durable clear satin lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
ABL - Antique brass lacquered
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. An antique patina is then applied to the brass before being relieved back to give the antique finish. Finally, a highly durable clear gloss lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation
ASP - Antique silver plate lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A silver plate is then applied before a bronzing powder is applied on top of the silver. The finisher then relieves the finish to give an antique silver finish. Finally, a highly durable clear satin lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
ACP - Antique copper plate lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A copper plate is then applied on top of the copper. The polisher then relieves the finish to give an antique copper finish. Finally, a highly durable clear satin lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
SAL - Satin antique gloss lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. An antique patina is then applied to the brass before being relieved back to give the satin antique finish. SAS - Satin antique satin lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. An antique patina is then applied to the brass before being relieved back to give the satin antique finish. Finally, a highly durable clear satin lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. AMB - American bronze lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A bronzing powder is then evenly applied to the brass before being relieved to give a smooth consistent finish. Finally, a highly durable clear gloss lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
CBP - Chocolate bronze lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A bright copper plate is then applied. A bronzing powder is then evenly applied to the copper before being relieved to give a smooth consistent finish with a copper undertone through the bronze. Finally, a highly durable clear satin lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
MBL - Matt black lacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish before it is shot blasted to give the metal the desired surface finish. A highly durable matt black coloured lacquer is then applied which is baked in our ovens to ensure the lacquer cures to offer lasting protection. Baking the lacquer ensures that a harder and more durable layer will protect the finish from day to day usage and oxidisation.
Plated
Our plated finishes are highly durable with chrome offering more longevity than nickel. Plated finishes may tarnish with prolonged exposure to moisture. We recommend the occasional use of a soft cloth and the use of a quality metal polish will help preserve the finish if highly polished.
PNP - Polished nickel plate
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. A bright nickel plate is then applied. Nickel finish is less durable than chrome and as a result, is classed as a living finish which will oxidise over time.
SNP - Satin nickel plate
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A dull nickel plate is then applied. Nickel finish is less durable than chrome and as a result, is classed as a living finish which will oxidise over time.
PCP - Polished chrome plate
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. A bright nickel plate is then applied before a chromium plate is applied on top of the nickel. Chromium plate provides a very durable and hard-wearing finish.
SCP - Satin chrome plate
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A dull nickel plate is then applied before a chromium plate is applied on top of the nickel. Chromium plate provides a very durable and hard-wearing finish.
NBP - Barrelled nickel plate
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. The product is then lightly distressed. Finally, a dull nickel plate is applied to the product. Nickel finish is less durable than chrome and as a result, is classed as a living finish which will oxidise over time.
HBN - Hand burnished nickel
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. A bright nickel plate is then applied. The finisher then hand burnishes the product to achieve a natural looking aged appearance. Nickel finish is less durable than chrome and as a result, is classed as a living finish which will oxidise over time.
Living
Our living finishes are all unlacquered. This allows the finish to naturally oxidise over time to reveal a beautiful, darker aged patina. This change in finish adds to the charm of the product and allows for natural variation. We recommend the occasional use of a soft cloth and the use of a quality metal polish will help preserve the finish if highly polished. Not to be used on satin or antique/bronze finishes as this will accelerate wear.
BEL - Burnished brass
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. A light antique patina is then applied to the brass before being placed into barrelling machines full of cones. This is in order to achieve a naturally aged appearance to the product.
ABUL - Antique brass unlacquered
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. An antique patina is then applied to the brass before being relieved back to give the antique finish. As this is a natural living finish the finish will naturally oxidise and patina over time. The more the product is handled the faster the finish will wear away, eventually leading to a more natural brass appearance.
PBUL - Polished brass unlacquered
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. As this is a natural living finish, the finish will naturally oxidise and patina over time. To help maintain and preserve the finish it is recommended that you use a good quality metal polish as required.
SBUL - Satin brass unlacquered
The product is hand sateened to give a brushed satin finish. As this is a natural living finish, the finish will naturally oxidise and patina over time.
HBB - Hand Burnished Brass
The product is hand polished to a smooth mirrored finish. The finisher then hand burnishes the product to achieve a natural looking aged appearance.
